Sorry I still haven't updated for those who still care. But Zelkova, Kaede, the Azure Knights, and Natsume still need to get to max affection before I can bring myself to stop playing... (Plus other responsibilites <_<)

Chapter 52

Talim sighed, sitting on the edge of the fountain in Mac Anu. It had been a few days since the incident with Leon, and no one had been able to figure out what happened. "What's going on... stupid brother doing something stupid..."

"TALIM!" Vis jumped out of nowhere, giving Talim the same treatment Leon got constantly. However, she didn't jump up and scream. "... :( Look, I know that things seem bad, but thee's deffinetely a clue somewhere here in The World! It'll be no time until Leon is back! So you HAVE TO STOP BEING SO DOWN!"

"Stop. S-shaking me- STOP!" Vis had begun shaking Talim by the shoulders as she was yelling, which made Talim nearly fall into the fountain due to dizziness. "I'm sure there is a clue... but it didn't even seem like he was in a full coma... More like he was asleep and having a bad dream... ....and now Im being called to someone's @home >_< Maybe they have news about Leon though!" Suddenly losing any hint of depression, Talim sprinted to the @home so fast it left a giant cloud of dust behind her.

Talim nearly kicked the door to Raven down as she stormed in. "Did you find anything about Leon!?"

"No, I'm afraid I haven't. However, I wanted to talk to all the epitaph users and that inclu-" A strange noise came from the Serpent of Lore, intterupting Pi, who started blabbering to the members of G.U. or whatever it was before running off. Talim decided it might be worth it to follow them, seeing as there weren't any new leads. "...erating the Serpent of Lore?" She didn't catch the first part of the sentence as she made her way into the room.

"The master of the Serpent of Lore!" A man wearing what looked like a stained white kimono, a third arm, and quite a bit of eye liner floated down on pedastal, which seemed to suprise or anger everyone else in the room.

"Sakaki!!!" Talim had to struggle to keep herself from laughing at Haseo's outburst. 'Hehe... Cocky... hehehe...' The conversation went on without her as she continued to giggle to herself, until finally she got tired of the angry background noise.

"Ok I don't know why these guys hate you so much, but I have more important things to do."

"Ah... You must be Talim... as I recall, you're not a member of G.U. yet, are you?"

"And I don't plan on joining, either! Unless you guys seem to get more helpful, but that doesn't seem like it's going to happen any time soon." Talim glared at Sakaki over her shoulder, doing her best to let him know there was no point in continuing the subject.

"Heh, still hung up on your brother? When are you going to figure out that he isn't the only coma victim! We're doing what we can to save ALL of the lost ones, and you think we're not helpful!?" Haseo grabbed Talim's shoulder just as she was about to walk out. The second he did, she grabbed his hand and nearly crushed it as she turned to look him in the face.

"Maybe when you stop pretending "Shino" is the most important lost one ever. Now get away from me." The sheer amount of anger in her voice made Haseo slowly step back from her, finally allowing Talim leave.

"She's really not taking this too well... It's kinda worrying me." Vis explained to Ichida and Zam as they sat in their @home, looking through all the data they had been gathering.

"Well, the Sage Palace tournament is starting soon, and she should be able to join. Perhaps you should get her to join, get her mind off of things." She could barely hear Ichida, who was too busy with his search to bother speaking louder. "I suppose I could also join, so that you have a full party at least."

"The next tournament is a PK invite only tournament, and you may not be able to get " Zam chimed in from a different corner of the room, which earned him a knock on the head from Vis.

"We think of a good way to get Talim going again and you go and ruin it with your little "details"... Guess I need to start PKing then..." She mumbled as she stormed out of the room.

"...wait, Vis! I forgot, she can probably get in anyway since she's part of the... emp... she's already gone." Zam yelled at her while rubbing the large bump on his head. He slowly turned to look at Ichida, who was looking out the door in worry.

"You know... I think she's serious..."

A certain e-mail caught Talim's attention as she logged out, just seconds before Vis could invite her on "a hunt" at some area. "Huh... it's that Sakaki guy..."

"Hello there, Talim. Just thought I'd send a friendly reminder to you about the upcomming Sage Palace tournament. We wouldn't want one of the Holy palace emperors missing out, now would we? I'm sure it'll make things more... interesting. Haseo has also been invited, just so you know. You don't have to join, I suppose, but who knows what bits of information you wouldn't be able to get if you didn't... We look forward to watching your fights..."

Woo, finally updated o.o For those who were waiting, sorry. Finally beat the FoP, and then other things popped up I had to do... but I plan on updating frequently again! ^_^

Chapter 53

"He's deffinetely up to something..."

"Of course he is. He practically said so in his e-mail." Ichida said from his corner of the room, not even bothering to look up from his information display. "More important is who's going with you. Not participating seems out of the question."

"I know, I know! Sheesh..." Talim sighed in annoyance at the same time as Viscosity, who had been annoyed since she had returned to the @home.

"I still wish you could have mentioned this earlier... I was already at the area, and there was a party of newbies right there to PK but NOOOO, you suddenly tell me that PKing isn't even necessary!"

"Hmm... I think Viscosity would be useful for the team, and the other member-"

"It could be useful to mix the team up for the rounds. That way it'll be harder for them to think up strategies." Zam intterupted Talim, who also didn't bother to look up at her. "I'll go for the first round, though. Too much info gathering kills your brain!"

"As if there's anything left to kill..."

"WHAT WAS THAT VIS!?"

"Just kidding! Sheesh Zam, getting so riled up... relax!"

"...ok, so Zam and Vis... right... Anyw- eh? ......AH! The tournament is starting!" Talim turned around and sprinted out of the room so fast that by the time Vis and Zam had realized what she had said, she was already half way to the portal.

The three of them warped onto their pedastal overlooking the arena, with the sounds of the crowd cheering and the announcer's comments filling their headsets just the same as any other tournament. 'Was expecting this tournament to be different then the other two...' Talim thought to herself as her character automatically warped down into the arena.

"So... that guy with rambling up there is Sakaki?" Vis nudged Talim with an elbow while pointing at Sakaki, who was speaking to the audience from a floating platform just out of the arena, with her other hand. "Creepier then I thought he was."

"Huh? Oh, yeah that's him. Didn't notice him though..."

"Not focusing on your opponents can be dangerous you know!" Talim turned in the direction the voice came from, and suddenly realized their opponents had already warped in and had drawn their weapons. Their leader was a blond haired adept rogue who was pointing his lance directly at Talim.

"So they have an Adept Rogue for a leader, an Edge Punisher, and a Harvest Cleric... Skyler, Cody, and Abbi respectively." Zam pointed out, even though he knew it really didn't matter.

"Now, let the match BEGIN!" The second Sakaki had finished the word "begin", Talim sprung forward and ran to the left, while Zam ran to the right. A red circle crawled along the floor between the two of them, aimed towards the Harvest Cleric, just as Zamanoske began to glow red and dashed towards the enemy team leader. Skyler shot towards Zam, intending to counter his attack with a skill of his own, leaving himself open to Talim's own attack.

"Hangeki! Armor Break!" Skyler was thrown backwards as soon as he landed on the floor, as Viscosity's Lei Zas sped through him towards Abbi. Suddenly a broad sword came flying around towards Talim as Cody connected a charge attack. Rolling back onto her feet, Talim ran towards Zam, who was barely keeping Skyler's lance away from him in a clash, leaving Cody to be hit by Vis's Gan Bolg attack.

Talim swung down with her axe, aiming for Sklyer's head, forcing him to jump back while Abbi healed about half of his lost HP. Zam backed away and ran over to the Harvest Cleric and feinted with his sycthe to the left, spinning into a slash from the right as she attempted to move out of the way. He continued his spin and slashed at her again, finishing off his attack by striking her into the air and spinning to the left, slashing her again. "Heavenly Wheel!" The Harvest Cleric was knocked into the air again as Vis's Rue Zot spell connected, causing a geyser of water to appear beneath her. Abbi quickly cast Pha Repth on her self, restoring her HP by half to prevent her death.

"I really hate when they do that..." Zam mumbled to himself as he attacked again, pulling his scythe back as he prepared to sweep it upwards to the right. Cody smashed his broadsword into the ground just as Zam attempted to perform his attack, giving Abbi a chance to cast Phal Repth, healing the entire party this time. "Hate when they do that more....!

"Hangeki! Chaotic Strike!" Styler switched to his twin blades and knocked Vis into the air for his attack. Vis sprung back to her feet as she was knocked to the ground and managed to knock Styler back with a charged attack, sending him right into Talim's own attack.

"Suddenly attacking me like that... Ani Zot!" Vis and Zam jumped towards Talim, as Vis's spell finally filled their morale bar to full.

"Ok... Here we go! Demon Awakening!" A storm of metorites began to rain down on Styler and his team, each hit slowly reducing their HP to zero. The three managed to survive the attack, however, and got back to their feet as fast as they could to try and heal themselves. "Bone Crusher!" Talim spun around and slashed at Styler with her axe before Abbi could cast a single spell, finally causing him to fade out of the arena as his HP hit zero.

"Good job, former emperor... Now, let the second fight begin!!!"

"WHAT!?" Talim, Vis, and Zam yelled at the same time.

Geez, took me a while to get this up... Sorry ^_^' haven't been able to get time for it... Hopefully this will satisfy you all enough to keep me alive longer o.o
